Orange & Lemons is a Filipino group that first formed in 1999. The band was founded by singer-songwriter and guitarist Clem Castro. Castro brought two additional core members into the initial lineup. The first was Ace Del Mundo, who stepped into the role of drummer. The second was Ace Del Mundo’s brother, JM del Mundo, who took on bass duties. Another early member, Mcoy Fundales, served as the group’s second vocalist. Fundales remained in that role from the band’s formation through its first run’s conclusion in 2007. The group’s musical identity draws from a range of rock and pop-adjacent styles. Its discography blends alternative rock, indie pop, and experimental music across every release. The band draws heavy influence from several well-respected acts spanning different generations. Those core influences include UK post-punk pioneers The Smiths, iconic 1960s rock band The Beatles, and seminal Filipino rock group the Eraserheads.
