Orange & Lemons, the Filipino group whose genre-blending sound has anchored their decades-long career as one of their home country’s most beloved independent acts, counts Heaven Knows (This Angel Has Flown) among the pop-focused entries in their sprawling catalogue, a track that carries the same mix of careful craft and cross-generational influence that defines every part of their discography. Formed in 1999 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Clem Castro, the band launched with a core lineup that included drummer Ace Del Mundo and his brother JM del Mundo on bass, with former member Mcoy Fundales joining as second vocalist from the group’s inception, holding that role through to the band’s first official hiatus in 2007.
