Hanggang Kailan - Umuwi Ka Na Baby anchors its place in the catalog of Orange & Lemons, the beloved Filipino band whose blend of pop, rock, and experimental sensibilities has made them a defining act across decades of music from their home country. Formed in 1999 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Clem Castro, the band launched its first iteration as a trio, bringing together Castro with drummer Ace Del Mundo and the drummer’s brother JM del Mundo, who took up bass. Mcoy Fundales joined the group at its founding as a second vocalist, remaining in the lineup through the band’s first full run until its initial dissolution in 2007. From their earliest shows and recordings, the group wove together a sound that pulled equal parts from alternative rock, indie pop, and experimental music, drawing influence from a wide span of critically acclaimed and genre-shaping artists spanning generations.
