Eleven Minutes anchors itself to the rich pop tradition forged by Orange & Lemons, one of the Philippines’ most influential and enduring creative groups, whose decades-long career has reshaped local independent music while earning both critical acclaim and widespread commercial success. Founded in 1999 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Clem Castro, the band first coalesced with drummer Ace Del Mundo and his brother JM del Mundo on bass, building a core lineup that would evolve to match the group’s shifting creative visions over the years. Mcoy Fundales joined as a second vocalist shortly after the band’s formation, contributing to every project the group released before their first split in 2007, a separation driven by musical differences that put a 10-year pause on their collaborative work.
