Pop music from the Philippines often blends diverse influences, a characteristic Orange & Lemons embodies through their mix of alternative rock, indie pop, and experimental music. Formed in 1999 by singer-songwriter/guitarist Clem Castro with Ace and JM del Mundo, the band cites The Smiths, The Beatles, and Eraserheads as inspirations. After a hiatus, the group reformed in 2017, later adding keyboardist Jared Nerona, who contributed arrangements to their 2022 Tagalog album *La Bulaqueña*, which includes the song "Abot Kamay."
