About this Song
R&B as it is cultivated across the Philippines has long drawn from interconnected global and local creative currents, shaping a sonic landscape that feels both tied to the genre’s transnational history and deeply rooted in the specific creative communities that call the archipelago home. The sound Love Letters emerges from this evolving lineage of Philippine R&B, anchored in the rich, ongoing tradition of creators in the country refining and expanding what the genre can hold, while leaning into the quiet, evocative weight of its title to situate itself within a throughline of work that centers intimate human connection as a core preoccupation.
