About this Song
Rooted in the Filipino pop sphere that anchors it, Switchblade carries the core urgency that defined the earliest stirrings of what would become Buzz, the third studio album from singer-songwriter NIKI. Every layer of the sound traces back to that first urgent quake that emerged from the innermost core of her being, the unplanned, unfiltered spark that set the entire project in motion long before it took shape as a full, cohesive body of work. Her songwriting, the quiet throughline that ties every part of her discography together, remains as intimate as ever across every choice that shapes Switchblade, carrying the same raw, unguarded honesty that has become a defining hallmark of her work across all her releases.
