About this Song
What eventually became NIKI’s third studio album, Buzz, started with an urgent quake from the innermost core of her being. The Filipino pop creator’s work draws unapologetically from her own lived experiences, turning small, specific moments of ambition, uncertainty, and joy into material that resonates broadly while never losing its personal core. Her songwriting remains as intimate as ever, even as the scope of her work expands to fill large venues like the Wiltern, the site of the recording featured on Selene - Live at The Wiltern. Every creative choice that shapes this live track ties back to the ethos that defines Buzz, a project that balances hard-won life lessons with the soft, playful warmth of someone who refuses to take every misstep too seriously. NIKI moves through the world charging dauntlessly towards her dreams, but she never loses the ability to spare a laugh if she stumbles along the way.
