About this Song
The first stirrings of what would become NIKI’s third studio album arose from an urgent quake pulled from the innermost core of her being, a creative spark that grew and shifted to take shape as the full body of work known as Buzz. This creative origin, rooted in unfiltered personal truth, laid the foundation for every track that would join the project, including the pop work Plot Twist, hailing from the Philippines, that carries forward the uncompromising creative perspective that defines every layer of the album. For this project, the artist’s songwriting retains the intimate core that has long anchored her work, never straying from the personal specificity that turns broad, universal experiences into something that feels tailor-made for every listener who encounters it, while still expanding to hold the hard-earned lessons that accumulate as anyone moves through young adulthood and chases the goals that feel most vital to their identity.
