About this Song
Hip-hop, as a genre that thrives on cross-cultural adaptation and local iteration, finds a dynamic home in the Philippines, where local creators have reimagined the form’s core potential to speak to their own communities, their own aspirations, and their own shared cultural experiences, building a scene that contributes meaningfully to the global legacy of hip-hop while remaining distinctly rooted in the context of the nation that nurtures it. This work, Nateman x Baby Blood - CANDY (Official Music Video), emerges from that vibrant Filipino hip-hop landscape, carrying the genre’s core commitments to creative authenticity and narrative depth as it reaches audiences both within the Philippines and far beyond its borders.
