About this Song
Pop, as a flexible, far-reaching creative medium that evolves to meet the moment and reflect the lives of the communities that make and engage with it, gains unique texture and purpose when rooted in the creative landscape of the Philippines, where pop creation has long served as a bridge between local lived experience and global cultural connection. This sound, titled FaceTime, takes its place within that sprawling, vibrant lineage of Philippine pop, a lineage that has grown to connect audiences within the archipelago’s thousands of islands to the vast, interconnected Filipino diaspora spread across every continent, uniting people across geographic distances through a shared creative language.
