About this Song
R&B has long found fertile, evolving ground across the Philippines, weaving into the tapestry of recorded music that emerges from the archipelago’s interconnected creative communities, which have nurtured the genre as a space to hold both shared cultural nuance and individual creative vision, positioning it as a core thread in the country’s expansive catalogue of recorded sound. Each new entry in that catalogue adds a new layer to the ongoing legacy of creators who work within R&B to extend its boundaries while honoring the core elements that have made it a global staple of modern music. Titled DOD, this sound sits within that long line of contributions to the genre, rooted in the Philippines’ vibrant network of creators who build on decades of R&B’s presence in the country’s cultural landscape.
