About this Song
Bagsakan emerges from the Philippines, a rock and roll sound rooted in the archipelago’s longstanding, evolving engagement with the genre, a form that has traveled across borders to take root in creative communities that reimagine its core possibilities to reflect the specific contexts that shape their work. Every layer of this sound, from its foundational alignment with rock and roll’s core ethos to its connection to the creative networks that bring Filipino rock and roll work to audiences around the world, ties it to a lineage of creators from the Philippines who have turned to the genre as a space to explore, create, and share work that resonates both within their home communities and far beyond.
