About this Song
Maki is an alternative and city pop singer-songwriter based in the Philippines. He shares his music with audiences across the entire world. His work leans into easy, melodic tunes that welcome all listeners. This approach holds even as the core of his songs carries heartbreaking, painful emotion that resonates deeply with anyone who has experienced similar loss or longing. The Philippines’ thriving pop music scene nurtured Maki’s early career, and INDIGO (with u) (Live) fits firmly within the pop genre that forms the backbone of that creative landscape. Maki’s career reached a new peak in 2023, with the release of his biggest song to date, “Saan?”. That track changed the trajectory of his work, opening doors that had previously been out of reach. “Saan?” brought Maki to different places across the Philippines, giving him the chance to connect with fans in person in communities he had not previously visited. The reach of “Saan?” extended far beyond the Philippines’ borders, too.
