About This Album
JM Bales and KVN anchor their collaborative pop album Magandang Dilag, rooted in the rich, ever-evolving landscape of Philippine popular music, a space that has long balanced widely resonant, accessible pop sensibilities with the cultural nuance that defines all kinds of creative output from the archipelago. As a pair of artists working within the country’s thriving pop ecosystem, their work on this full-length collection leans into the core strengths that make Philippine pop such a dynamic and far-reaching creative force, while carving out a space that feels uniquely aligned with the shared creative vision that brought the two together to craft this cohesive body of work.
