About this Song
Rooted in the diverse, ever-expanding ecosystem of R&B emerging from the Philippines, this sound bears the title Heartprints, a work that aligns with the genre’s core function as a vessel for intimate, resonant expression that travels far beyond the geographic borders that shaped its creation. Unlike niche subgenres that lean into hyper-specific sonic or thematic boundaries, the broad classification of R&B that frames Heartprints speaks to a longstanding tradition of Philippine creative makers centering emotional clarity and relational depth in their work, a thread that runs through decades of popular and independent music making across the archipelago.
