About this Song
Loonie’s journey through the Philippine music industry has been defined by unflinching candor and a willingness to turn the most harrowing chapters of his life into creative fuel, a throughline that shapes every part of his much-awaited comeback body of work, Meron Na. Long a staple of the country’s hip-hop and pop spheres, Loonie spent years navigating a period of profound upheaval that began with a 2019 frame-up that led to his unjust imprisonment, a period of hardship that resolved only with his full vindication in 2022. Those years of struggle, and the quiet, unshared moments that defined that chapter of his life, form the backbone of Meron Na, a project that pulls back the curtain on parts of Loonie’s story he had never previously shared with audiences.
