About this Song
The years-long wait for a new project from the artist behind L.O.O.N.I.E. ends with Meron Na, a body of work rooted in the Philippine pop and hip-hop landscape that weaves unfiltered personal truth, cross-generational creative partnership, and dynamic range to craft a listening experience that unfolds like a vivid, unpredictable journey. Long before the album’s arrival, the artist faced a series of life-altering events that shape every layer of Meron Na: a 2019 arrest built on false framing, an extended period of unjust imprisonment, and a full vindication in 2022, a sequence of events that became the backbone of the vulnerable, unflinching storytelling that defines the record. No detail of that period is left unexamined, with the artist inviting listeners into parts of his life that have never been shared publicly, turning private struggle into universal narrative that resonates far beyond the bounds of the local scene he has long been part of.
