About this Song
Irate Pinay Returns (Skit) slots into the sprawling, story-driven pop work from the Philippines that forms Loonie’s long-awaited comeback collection Meron Na, a project that frames its creator’s permanent place in the local music landscape through a mix of collaborative craft and unvarnished personal truth. Loonie builds Meron Na around the core belief that collaboration elevates every layer of musical creation, enlisting a roster of fellow Philippine Hip-Hop staples to bring his vision to life, including Flow G, Omar Baliw, JRLDM, and Smugglaz, alongside breakout rising talent Hev Abi, one of many names that contribute to the project’s wide range of creative perspectives. The album’s sonic backbone comes from a cadre of standout producers, each bringing their own approach to shaping the record’s sound, including Yung Bawal, Klumcee, Jim P, Apoc, and Ochomil, whose combined work ensures that no two moments on the record feel identical.
