About this Song
Loonie’s long-awaited comeback to recording anchors the body of work that carries the Filipino pop sound Eskapo, rooted in the Philippines’ rich, collaborative music landscape that prioritizes cross-artist connection to push creative boundaries. Meron Na, the full-length album that houses Eskapo, centers collaboration as a core creative strength, enlisting some of the Philippine scene’s most prominent hip-hop voices to build out its full range of narrative and sonic depth. Flow G, Omar Baliw, JRLDM, Smugglaz, and up-and-coming artist Hev Abi count among the collaborators that appear across the album’s tracklist, while a roster of equally skilled production talent brings every track to vivid life: Yung Bawal, Klumcee, Jim P, Apoc, and Ochomil all contribute stellar production work that shapes the album’s varied sonic identity.
