Joyce Burton Titular | What's The Story Behind Your Voice?
About this Song
What’s The Story Behind Your Voice, the work that anchors the Joyce Burton Titular project credited to Brien and Gerald out of the Philippines, occupies a one-of-a-kind space within the pair’s full catalogue, categorized as Music/Other to reflect its deliberate rejection of the narrow, restrictive boxes that often define recorded creative audio, making room for a work that prioritizes narrative, connection, and vulnerability over the formal markers that shape most traditional music releases. The work centers the deeply layered intersections of identity, expression, and the cumulative, often unacknowledged experiences that shape how every person communicates and shows up for themselves and the communities they move through, moving far beyond surface-level discussions of self-presentation to dig into the quiet, unspoken moments that forge the way we use our voices to claim space, set boundaries, share unfiltered joy, and hold space for grief and loss.
