About this Song
Pop, as a genre that transcends geographic boundaries while carrying the distinct creative identity of every community that contributes to its ever-evolving legacy, thrives when creators rooted in local scenes bring their unique perspective to the form, weaving their cultural experiences into work that resonates far beyond their home borders. This is the energy that animates XXL - Stripped, a pop sound originating from the Philippines, a country with a long and vibrant history of pop creation that has turned its own creative community into one of the most dynamic forces shaping global pop today. For decades, Filipino creators have reimagined what pop can be, blending the core traits that make the genre universally relatable with layers of cultural storytelling, artistic choice, and intentionality that turn every new release from the country’s scene into a meaningful addition to the global pop canon.
