About this Song
Pop, a genre defined by its ability to bridge geographic, cultural, and generational gaps, turns individual creative vision into work that can feel universal for anyone who encounters it, and the sound titled XXL emerges from the Philippines’ dynamic, globally engaged pop ecosystem to carry that exact ethos forward, tied to a larger creative project centered on FOR THE WORLD, a body of work that celebrates connection across every continent. The Philippines has long held a unique space in global pop, with creative communities across the archipelago turning their perspectives and passions into music that travels far beyond the country’s borders, resonating with diaspora audiences and new listeners alike who find common ground in the genre’s core ability to feel personal while speaking to shared human experiences.
