About this Song
The Philippines, a Southeast Asian archipelago with a rich, enduring legacy of pop music that weaves local creative sensibilities with broad, relatable thematic cores to resonate far beyond its borders, is the origin point of Last Forever, a pop sound created as part of the FOR THE WORLD project dedicated to elevating creative work to reach audiences across every continent. Pop from the Philippines has long occupied a unique, vital space in global music, rooted in a cultural tradition of centering shared connection in creative expression, a trait that lets Filipino-made pop travel to find homes with the millions of Filipinos who make up one of the world’s largest and most widespread diasporas, as well as listeners who have never engaged with Philippine culture before, drawn to the inherent intentionality and warmth that defines much of the scene’s output.
