About this Song
Friend anchors its place as a pop sound from the Philippines, positioned within the full scope of the artist’s documented catalogue through a framing that centers the way each individual recording contributes to the larger creative legacy that defines all of the artist’s work. The catalogue snapshot approach rejects the tendency to isolate individual works from the creative context that gave rise to them, instead framing every entry in an artist’s body of work as an essential component of the cohesive whole that audiences and archivists alike turn to when engaging with the full scope of an artist’s output.
