About this Song
R&B as a creative form has been embraced and reimagined by creators across the Philippines, shaping a distinct body of work that exists within global R&B traditions while rooted in the specific creative ecosystems that have grown across the archipelago’s sprawling network of artistic communities. This mode of creative practice has built a continuum of work that contributes to the broader, worldwide landscape of contemporary R&B, with every new sound emerging from the country’s creative hubs adding another layer of depth to the region’s already robust catalog of genre output. Siya, a sound emerging from that same thriving ecosystem, occupies space within this rich lineage, joining the many works crafted by creators based in the Philippines who have centered R&B as their primary mode of creative expression.
