About this Song
Across the Philippines, pop music functions as more than a form of entertainment, weaving itself into the fabric of daily community gatherings, national celebrations, and casual personal moments that bind diverse groups of listeners across the archipelago’s thousands of inhabited islands. Pop’s widespread appeal in the country has created a space for artists from a range of backgrounds to reach audiences that span local and global boundaries, with every new pop release welcomed by a fanbase that brings equal passion to homegrown talent and international artists who bring their own distinct approaches to the genre’s core framework. As a pop sound rooted in the country’s dynamic music scene, ExtraL carries the creative perspective of its credited artists, JENNIE and Doechii, whose work joins the rich lineage of pop releases that have emerged from and found resonance within the Philippines’ thriving music community.
