You Make My Body Move - Version 1
About this Song
Rooted in the Philippines’ thriving, community-centered ecosystem of contemporary R&B creators, You Make My Body Move - Version 1 grows from a decades-long tradition of artists across the archipelago reimagining the core tenets of the genre to align with the cultural and creative currents that shape artistic production across the country. The sound’s classification as Music/R&B situates it firmly within a lineage of Filipino creators who have drawn from global R&B’s broad thematic and structural foundations while infusing their work with the specific sensibilities that have come to define regional iterations of the genre, turning a globally beloved framework into something that feels uniquely tied to the creative landscape from which it emerged. The choice to frame this rendering as Version 1 carries intentional weight, signaling that the core creative work behind the track extended far beyond this single formalized capture of its ideas.
