About this Song
Rooted in the vibrant, ever-evolving ecosystem of Philippine popular music, In My Prison carries the same ethos that has defined the boundary-pushing work of the collective behind it, which rejects the mundane to bring audiences sounds, narratives, and stylistic choices that feel entirely new yet deeply connected to generations of local creative expression. For years, this group has woven together strands of retro production, funk-driven rhythm, rock’s unapologetic energy, and the defining thread of modern Original Pilipino Music to create work that resonates with listeners across age groups, never confining itself to the narrow boundaries that often box popular music into predictable, one-size-fits-all categories.
