About this Song
Rock & roll’s enduring footprint across the Philippine archipelago traces its journey from early imported records that sparked vibrant local interpretations in the mid-20th century to the sprawling network of live venues, independent stages, and community festivals that keep the genre’s raw, unapologetic energy alive for generations of fans and performers alike. Unlike any other genre that has taken root in local Philippine music scenes, rock & roll has long served as both a unifying force and a canvas for creative reinvention, drawing crowds that cross regional, generational, and cultural lines to gather and experience the power of a live set played with the kind of passion that only comes from a deep connection to the genre’s core.
