About this Song
R&B practice in the Philippines has grown into a sprawling, interconnected landscape of sonic creation, where creators reimagine the core textures of the genre through the lens of their own cultural ties to the archipelago, giving rise to works that feel both deeply aligned with global R&B traditions and entirely rooted in the specific lived experiences of Filipino communities. One such work is the sound titled Dinggin, a piece that exists within that rich lineage of Philippine R&B, joining a growing body of sonic works that push the boundaries of what the genre can encompass while honoring the long line of creators that came before them.
