About this Song
Across the archipelago of the Philippines, rock and roll has grown from a genre that first found fervent audiences in local creative circles to become a defining creative form that creators across every region of the country use to connect, express, and build communities around shared creative values that stretch across geographic and cultural divides, and this sound, Across the Universe, fits firmly within that longstanding tradition of Philippine rock and roll that prioritizes the kind of creative exploration the genre has long been known for: works that push the boundaries of what rock and roll can be while remaining rooted in the specific cultural context that every sound created within the country’s rock and roll scene carries.
