The sequence of these two works, MADUMING TIMOG preceding the current sound, traces a deliberate evolution of perspective that unfolds within the Philippines’ thriving pop landscape, a genre that has long served as a vessel for creators to carry their regional experiences, their relationships to home, and their evolving understandings of place to audiences both within the country and across the global Filipino diaspora.
