About this Song
Pop as a global creative form takes on distinct, place-specific shapes when rooted in the creative ecosystems of the Philippines, where local creative communities have spent decades reimagining the genre’s core possibilities to center the experiences, perspectives, and shared cultural touchstones that define life across the archipelago’s hundreds of inhabited islands. C2 Boyz - Live emerges from this rich, multifaceted landscape of Filipino pop, a sound that carries the context of the broader creative body tied to MADUMING TIMOG, a collection that anchors this work to a specific strain of regional creative expression that has built sustained connections among audiences and creators across the country and beyond its borders.
