About this Song
Pop, the core genre that anchors Guap, emerges from the thriving, multifaceted music ecosystem of the Philippines, where local creators regularly blend the broad, accessible appeal of mainstream pop with the rooted, community-driven energy of Pinoy hip-hop to create work that resonates both within local neighborhoods and across wider national audiences. Within that ecosystem, HELLMERRY stands as a force, a creator who has carved out an unshakable space within the Pinoy hip-hop scene, earning widespread recognition for the bold stylistic choices that shape every piece of work they put into the world, choices that reject formulaic approaches to creation in favor of work that feels authentic, unapologetic, and true to the perspectives and experiences that define their artistic voice.
