About this Song
Across the Philippines’ interconnected layers of local and mainstream music, the artist at the center of Anghell has carved out a space that rejects the arbitrary boundaries that often separate niche underground sounds from the pop music that resonates across generations and regions. Operating first as a defining force in the Pinoy hip-hop sphere, he has built a public identity and creative practice rooted in a refusal to soften his perspective or limit his choices to fit what audiences might expect from a Filipino pop act. His signature bold style, which has become a calling card for every track he releases, carries through fully into the work of Anghell, aligning with the consistent creative throughline that ties all of his output together.
