About this Song
The arc of any creator working in the Philippines’ vast, interconnected network of R&B practitioners begins long before they set to work on the specific sound that will carry their creative perspective out into the world, rooted in years of immersion in the genre’s local and global lineages, the shared creative conversations that shape how R&B evolves within the archipelago’s cultural landscape, and the slow process of refining a creative voice that feels both aligned with the form’s core traditions and rooted in the specific context that informs all work made by creators based in the country.
