About this Song
Filipino rapper, singer, and songwriter Gloc-9 presents "Martilyo," featuring Dex of Letter Day Story. Known for his fast-flowing "chopper" vocal style, Gloc-9 is considered a trailblazer in the Pinoy Hip-Hop scene, with fellow Filipino rapper Francis Magalona describing him as "a blacksmith of words and letters, and a true Filipino poet." His songs often address social issues such as social injustices, poverty, and patriotism. Gloc-9 began his musical career in the 1990s with the gangsta rap group Death Threat, releasing his debut solo album, *G9*, in 2003. "Martilyo" is included on Gloc-9's 2009 album *Matrikula*.
