About this Song
Gloc-9, a Filipino rapper, singer, and songwriter known for his fast-flowing "chopper" vocal style, presents "Halik (feat. Flow G)." This track adds to the catalogue of an artist considered a trailblazer and long-standing figure in the Pinoy Hip-Hop scene. Gloc-9's work often addresses social issues such as social injustices, poverty, and patriotism, building on a career that began with the gangsta rap group Death Threat in the 1990s. His debut solo album, *G9*, was released in 2003, followed by *Ako Si...* in 2005, which featured a more laid-back R&B sound. Later albums like 2007's *Diploma* incorporated nu-metal-esque elements, while *MKNM: Mga Kwento Ng Makata* (2012) and *Liham at Lihim* (2013) achieved Gold and Platinum certifications. Gloc-9 has collaborated with numerous OPM artists, including Francis Magalona and Ebe Dancel, with whom he created the socially relevant hit "Sirena" (2012) addressing LGBTQ+ issues.
