About this Song
From the Philippines, fitterkarma presents "Kalapastangan (Reggae Version)," a reinterpretation by the alternative rock band. Formed in 2023 by students from the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde's music production program, fitterkarma blends indie rock, alternative rock, and art rock, incorporating acoustic and electric guitars, warm vocals, and occasional heavier parts for live performances. The band's name, stylized in all lowercase, draws inspiration from a combination of two Radiohead songs from their 1997 album *OK Computer*: "Fitter Happier" and "Karma Police." While the project began in 2019 as a solo endeavor by Joao de Leon, who performed independently, the full band was established in 2023, rebranding from Joao de Leon's solo act partly due to marketing and pronunciation challenges. The current lineup features Joao de Leon on vocals and guitar, Sophia Miranda on bass and backing vocals, Sanders Bayas on drums, and Mikee Mendoza on guitar and backing vocals.
