About this Song
fitterkarma, a Filipino alternative rock band from Metro Manila, released "Aswang sa Maynila" on Valentine's Day in early 2026, featuring guest vocals from Kai Sevillano of Novocrane. Formed in 2023 by students from the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde's music production program, the band's name, stylized in all lowercase, combines titles from two Radiohead songs: "Fitter Happier" and "Karma Police." The project originated in 2019 as a solo endeavor by Joao de Leon, who founded the band and now serves as its vocalist and guitarist. The current lineup also includes Sophia Miranda on bass and backing vocals, Sanders Bayas on drums, and Mikee Mendoza on guitar and backing vocals. Their music blends indie rock, alternative rock, and art rock, characterized by acoustic and electric guitars, warm vocals, and occasional heavier parts for live performances.
