About this Song
A collective of Filipino creators bound by a shared commitment to uncompromised artistic expression, fitterkarma builds its entire body of work outside the rigid frameworks that often limit creative exploration for acts operating out of the Philippines. Rejecting the idea that musicians must tie themselves to a single, marketable sound to resonate with audiences, the group pulls from a dynamic range of influences and stylistic touchstones, merging them into a signature identity that feels entirely separate from the homogenized output that can dominate mainstream creative spaces. Their work leans into a specific, unflinching emotional weight, rooted in dark, introspective lyricism that draws directly from the rich, centuries-long tapestry of Philippine folklore, a cultural heritage that carries endless layers of myth, moral stakes, and quiet intimacy that few mainstream acts choose to center in their work.
