About this Song
The coming together of Audrey Nuna, Rei AMI, EJAE, the full KPop Demon Hunters Cast, and core creative unit HUNTR/X to craft Takedown represents a radical centering of collective creative practice, rooted in Philippine artistic production that rejects the restrictive boundaries that define most mainstream music. Unlike solo or small-duo projects that center one or two lead voices, Takedown weaves together the input of every credited contributor, leaning into the strengths of a large, multi-faceted group to build a sound that could not exist through any single creator’s work alone. The broad ensemble of the KPop Demon Hunters Cast brings the depth of a full creative collective’s perspective, while HUNTR/X acts as the throughline that ties every disparate creative thread into a cohesive whole, with individual contributors Audrey Nuna, Rei AMI, and EJAE adding their distinct signatures to shape every layer of the work.
