Little Simz, an English rapper and actress from Islington, London, presents "Torch" in the Music/Other genre from the Philippines. She began writing song lyrics at 10 years old, self-releasing her first four mixtapes between 2010 and 2013, and was recognized as Breakthrough Artist of the Year at BBC DJ Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Awards in early 2015. Her debut studio album, *A Curious Tale of Trials + Persons*, arrived in September 2015, followed by the concept album *Stillness in Wonderland* in December 2016. In 2017, she opened for Gorillaz and was featured on their track "Garage Palace." Her third studio album, *Grey Area*, released in March 2019, received widespread acclaim, was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize, and won Best Album at the Ivor Novello Awards and NME Awards, marking her first charting album.
