English rapper and actress Little Simz, born Simbiatu Ajikawo, began writing song lyrics at age ten and self-released four mixtapes between 2010 and 2013. In 2015, she was named Breakthrough Artist of the Year at BBC DJ Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Awards, and her debut studio album, *A Curious Tale of Trials + Persons*, appeared in September of that year. She released the concept album *Stillness in Wonderland* in December 2016 before opening for Gorillaz in 2017 and appearing on their track "Garage Palace." Her third studio album, *Grey Area*, released in March 2019, was her first to chart, reaching number 87 in the UK and topping the R&B chart. Little Simz collaborated with producer Inflo on *Grey Area* and her critically acclaimed fourth album, *Sometimes I Might Be Introvert*, which won the 2022 Mercury Prize. She released her fifth studio album, *No Thank You*, in December 2022, and the trap-influenced *Sugar Girl* EP, featuring JT, 070 Shake, and DEELA, in 2026.
