Sana Ngayong Pasko (B. Lagdameo Cover)
About this Song
This reworking of Ariel Rivera’s enduring Christmas standard was crafted for the 2018 Pasko season, rooted in the creative landscape of the Philippines, where interpretations of long-beloved local tracks thrive as a core part of the country’s rich, intergenerational musical ecosystem. The work, titled Sana Ngayong Pasko (B. Lagdameo Cover), falls under the broad umbrella of mix-based music, a classification that encompasses the full range of reworked, reimagined, and newly interpreted recordings that circulate within local and global musical circles, far beyond the bounds of fully original studio compositions built from entirely new melodic, structural, and thematic foundations.
