Hawak Mo ang Faith (Christian)
About this Song
Across the sprawling archipelagic landscape of the Philippines, home to layers of distinct localized creative traditions that stretch across its thousands of islands, this sound from Dj Mogo carries the specific framing of regional music that anchors creative output rooted in the contexts it emerges from. The title Hawak Mo ang Faith (Christian) ties directly to the scope of the work, a sound that defies easy categorization within the dominant mainstream genre frameworks that often limit how music from the region is tagged and understood, reflected in its genre classification that sits outside the most commonly referenced categories used to group recorded music.
