About this Song
Rising from scrappy local indie beginnings to cement a place as one of the most foundational acts in modern Philippine music, December Avenue has built its legacy on a commitment to unvarnished, relatable storytelling that resonates deeply with audiences across every region of the country. As one of the most streamed Filipino bands of all time, the group has evolved far from its early days playing small venue sets in Manila’s independent music circuit to become a defining voice in Original Pilipino Music, or OPM, the beloved category of homegrown Filipino work that centers the unique experiences, emotions, and perspectives of local communities. Its discography is anchored by songs that turn universal human experiences into intimate, accessible art, exploring the core themes of love that feels all-consuming, heartbreak that lingers long after a relationship ends, the slow, gentle work of healing, and the quiet hope that carries people through even their darkest days.
