About this Song
Long before cementing their place in Philippine popular music, December Avenue cut their teeth in the country’s tight-knit independent scene, building a loyal fanbase one live set and self-released track at a time as they honed the voice that would go on to redefine modern Original Pilipino Music. What began as a grassroots creative project grew into a nationwide cultural force, as the band translated universal, deeply personal experiences into songs that resonated across generations of listeners, turning their small, regionally rooted indie following into a massive national audience that connected with the unfiltered emotion at the core of every release. Their discography is anchored in consistent, thoughtful explorations of the full spectrum of human connection: the giddy rush of new love, the quiet, lingering agony of heartbreak, the slow, tender work of healing, and the quiet resilience that comes from holding onto hope, even in life’s darkest, most unsteady moments.
