About this Song
What began as a grassroots independent project working to cut through the noise of local Filipino music scenes grew into a legacy that would redefine the scope and impact of Original Pilipino Music, as December Avenue built its career from small, packed club sets to a global audience that carries the band’s work to heights no other Filipino group had reached before. From their earliest independent releases, the band centered the universal, deeply intimate experiences that would become their signature: love that feels too big to hold, heartbreak that lingers like a half-remembered dream, the slow work of healing after loss, and the quiet hope that carries people through even their darkest days. These themes resonated far beyond the independent circuits where the band first performed, turning local fans into lifelong supporters who shared the band’s music across communities, turning small, independent tracks into household staples for Filipino music fans at home and abroad.
